University of Melbourne Parking: You may park within the grounds of Melbourne University by paying $2.00 (coins only – all day parking – ignore the 2 hours on ticket) at the check in point at Gate 4, Swanston Street, or Gate 10 Grattan Street. Continue along the internal road until you reach the Underground South Car Park. Locate a park. Exit the car park via stairs at the far right side (from entrance). When you exit you will be standing in front of the open lawn area. Turn around (180 degrees) and you will be between Old Arts and The Law buildings. Proceed between these two buildings through an archway (refer map below). Directly ahead of you is the entry to Old Physics at the far end of the Cussonia Courtyard. Refer to map below. CORPORATE IN-HOUSE COURSES
The objectives, method and costing for corporate in-house course programs are outlined below.
Objectives
The objectives of the program include the following:
1. Introducing speed reading skills and strategies enabling the improvement of reading speed and comprehension.
2. Development of a structured approach to maximising comprehension and efficiently from various types of technical reading material.
3. Developing a previewing technique that will save time by facilitating efficient evaluation of material. This skill will enable selective evaluation and relevance of reading matter.
4. Strategies for improving memory recall with accuracy.
5. Introduction of both memory skills and mind mapping for structured recall and taking notes.
Method
The strategies for improving reading speed and comprehension are based upon the research conducted by Evelyn Wood at the University of Utah in the United States. A completely natural approach to acquiring skills is used without reliance on external devices.
Some practice is recommended for participants to reinforce progress with skills acquired in class. The class will consist of a combination of explanation and work-shopping the various skills in a dynamic group environment.

1 day program (9.30am – 4.30pm). Introductory - primarily focused on speed reading, introducing of all skills.

Materials All materials are supplied by Full Potential. Participants need only bring a pen, pad and a calculator. A methodology is given to best approach various styles of material. For in house courses the opportunity exists to tailor these aspects of the program to suit the clients needs. However, the general course coverage is sufficient for most business requirements.
A course manual containing related course material is given to each participant at the commencement of the program together with an audiotape or CD ROM of related exercises.

Is the course difficult?
No. It requires no special talent. However, as we will be teaching you new techniques, some practice is required to consolidate them.
Can you gain good comprehension?
Yes. We teach you to read everything at rapid rates with a broader viewing focus, (this is not skimming or scanning for key words – which is sometimes confused with the term speed reading) Contrary to popular myth, tests on students have shown that comprehension along with speed increases and broad conceptual analysis improves.
Can you read technical material this way?
Yes. We teach you superior techniques for optimising comprehension from technical material.
Will I have a future use for these skills?
Yes. In your chosen career these skills will be invaluable. As we progress further into the ‘information age’, where the value of a person is correlated to their knowledge, you will be advantaged by having skills enabling; efficient comprehensive assimilation and analysis of information
